What the app collects

• A push token. If you turn on alerts, Apple issues a device push token that lets our server send notifications to your phone. It identifies a device install, not you. We store it only to deliver the alerts you asked for.
• Your alert preferences. The stores, categories, and filters you choose for notifications are stored with your push token so we know which restocks to send you.
• Your favorites. Hearted products are saved on your device. To draw your terpene fingerprint, the app sends the list of product ids you hearted to our server, which returns a summary and keeps nothing. The list is anonymous product ids, not tied to any identity.

Email updates (optional)

If you enter your email in our signup form, we store it so we can send you TerpAlerts updates, industry news, and terpene science reports. Providing your email is entirely optional and is never required to browse the menu or use any feature. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to remove you at any time by emailing privacy@terpalerts.com. We never sell or rent your email address.

What we do not collect

No account, no name, no phone number, no location, no contacts, and no advertising identifiers. We only have your email address if you choose to give it to us through the optional email-updates signup above. The app contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. We do not track you across other apps or websites.

How we use what we collect

Only to run the service: to deliver the push alerts you opted into and to show you your own favorites summary. We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell or rent it.

Who we share it with

• Apple. Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service. Apple handles delivery to your device under Apple's own privacy terms.
• Our hosting provider. Our backend runs on a cloud host that processes requests on our behalf. It does not receive your data for its own use.

That is the full list. There are no data brokers, ad networks, or other third parties.

Website analytics

The website keeps a privacy-friendly count of page views to understand overall traffic. It stores no raw IP addresses, only a non-reversible per-visitor fingerprint and the referring site. The app uses no analytics at all.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your push token and preferences are kept only while your device is registered for alerts. You are in control:

• Turn off push in the app to pause alerts while keeping your filters.
• Delete your device in the app to remove your push token and preferences from our server.
• Uninstalling the app stops all notifications; a token we can no longer reach is pruned automatically.

Age

TerpAlerts covers cannabis product information and is intended for adults 18 and older. It is not directed to children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app or website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
